February and March have been accomplishing months for Plan International Cambodia to be an only INGO awarded as development champion by the government in two of the provinces where it’s working – Siem Reap and Kampong Cham.
“Such governmental recognitions would not have happened without the hard work of our colleagues and partners at all levels. We have been contributing to the solution where child poverty is most challenging in this country,” says Mr. Supriyanto, Country Director of Plan Cambodia.
“And the quality of our interventions is confirmed by the recognition, which is a pride for us all,” he adds.
Since 2011, Plan as the second largest child-focused INGOs in Cambodia has earned 6 governmental recognitions and awards.
Within the last two years, Plan Cambodia has almost tripled its budget to more than 13 million US dollars per year.
Addressing child poverty by looking at their needs at different age groups, the organisation’s programmes are benefiting more than half a million Cambodian children.
